When did you start hairdressing and why?

I started hairdressing straight from school at 16. It was something I wanted to do from an early age and have no idea why!

What made you come to Liverpool?

I moved to Liverpool with my wife after getting married here. Fell in love with the place and moved as soon as we could.

What do you think of the fashion/style here in Liverpool?

I think it has it own style. Everybody makes a huge effort and always looks well turned out. A lot of lashes and tans though!!

What awards have you won? And tell me something about the ‘British Hairdressing Awards’ you are up for….

I have won a number of awards before and been nominated for a few more. I won ‘creative head award’ for best collection of the year, ‘the fame team award’, ‘British Hair Awards’ for art team of the year, ‘L’Oreal colour trophy’. The award I am up for this year is the biggest yet. I have been nominated before but this seems more important for some reason. I am down to the final 6 from about over 200. Fingers Crossed!!

Where do you get your ideas/inspirations from when doing hair?

I look around at what’s going on in the salon, magazines and what has gone on in the past. I find adverts like Gucci, prada Westwood etc give you a good idea of what is current.

What famous people have you styled? And was there anyone who sticks out for any good or bad reason?

I have worked with a few celebs most seem to be nice and friendly. You always get the odd one though. For me it has to be Naomi Campbell who lives up to her rep for all the wrong reasons!! Kate Moss, Kelly Osborne, Danni Minouge, Linda Evangalista, Paris Hilton, Caprice and Liz Hurley are all nice.

Do you have anything coming up in the near future?

Apart from the awards, I am doing a couple of hair shows and there are a few fashion shows too. But hopefully there will be more coming my way and an award too !

With a very attractive young team (but a slightly older and more weather-beaten manager)  the Voodou people are giving this new fashion super-store a very scouse attitude and some funky haircuts.

This morning in front of my mark! I love being naked and I sometimes close all the curtains in the house and just walk around naked HA !

Unfortunately not Ronan’s bed (Ronan Keating) but my own!

I told my mark I was in Cheshire Oaks but I was really in the pub ha!

On BB when house mates received messages from home

My dad wearing canary yellow jogging pants and I was on a coach with all my mates I was about 14 yrs old and my mates were like ‘is that your dad’ I said NO, I got ripped all day !!

Off my friend Zoe telling me about her sisters dress that’s like a mirror ball ha MMMMMAAAADEE UP !!

Do you believe in love at first sight?
Yes, I fell in love with Ronan Keating 16yrs ago and still am!

What’s a turn off for you?
Dirty finger nails and men who are too perfect I like a mans man
