Festival Hair Trends 2013

As Creamfields and Leeds Festival bring our 2013 festival scene to a close, our stylists have been looking over the variety of hairstyles celebrities have been sporting this year. There have been plenty of vibrant pinks and bold blue shades of hair on show to contrast the passive pastel colours which have been hugely popular again this year – Kelly Osbourne’s lilac the best example. Ombre and dip-dye colours are also popular among festival goers. Here at Voodou, although the festival season may be approaching its close, you don’t need to worry – every Thursday and Sunday is HALF PRICE COLOUR – so you can recreate the looks for yourself, all year round.

Festival-Hairstyles

At festivals, taking a shower can be more hassle than it’s worth, so if you’re not prepared to brave it, a hairstyle which has longevity and is easy to manage is essential – with fishtail plaits and loose undown tasseled waves proving to be popular choices.  Other widely used styles are knots, buns and braids. Celebrities such as Katherine Jenkins and Millie Macintosh have used floral headbands to accessorise their hair which as always is a hugely popular ‘festival’ look. At Voodou we offer “2-Go” services, which are express appointments for people who want a speedy service with a salon perfect finish, all available for just £22!

In terms of essential festival hair products, at Voodou  we stock Evo’s Water Killer, which keeps your hair feeling fresh, even if you’re not!  If you want your hair to display a rough edge, why not try our Bangstyle sea salt mist, which gives your hair a beach look.
