We believe that every haircut needs to be individual to each person – as everyone is unique.
So, we have a friendly consultation about your hair and lifestyle, then provide a cut that is completely all about you.
A great haircut can completely change the way you look and feel, and we aim to get the perfect look for you.

The basic essentials of a good haircut
An experienced stylist will take into account the shape of your face shape, the balance between features (nose, mouth, ears and forehead) and advise on styles of cuts that would compliment and improve – rather than just “fit in” to a passing fad.
Clippers, razors and scissors are used by a good stylist to cut, texture and volumise – not only changing the shape of your hairstyle, but also creating -
- Volume - hair density and amount of body
- Texture - wispy, choppy, smooth or blunt
- And movement - sleek, wavy, jagged or swept
A good stylist will be using some or all of these techniques for your hair cut on different parts of your head as the texture, direction of growth and volume is likely to vary between your crown, nape, fringe and sides.
Short hair – super-cool & sexy
Choosing a hair cut and style that suits you
Some of us can remember the 70′s and 80′s when everyone wore the latest hair style. Not only were some of these “fashions” of very dubious merit, (bubble perms? & feather cuts?) but they took no account of your style.
21st century individuality now allows all of us to choose a hair style that is both current and suitable.
An experienced stylist will now take into account the shape of your face, the balance between features (nose, mouth, ears and forehead) and advise on styles of haircuts that would compliment and improve – rather than just “fit in” to a passing fad.
Some body and facial features that require a careful choice of hair style -
- a large nose can disguised with hair onto the face in soft, graduated sides.
- short necks need graduation that adds width to the head and extends the neck.
- long faces can suit soft waves or short choppy cuts with width
Medium lengths -anything but safe
The latest trends in hair style
Although we are happy to describe below a few of the current fashions in haircuts, the last 5 years has seen a move away from a one-size-fits-all look. Fashions and trends are now a lot more inclusive and broad, meaning there is always a style to suit your face and hair.
Blunt cut fringes have been a trend for the last few years (Kate Moss, Madonna etc.) but the winter will see a move towards side-swipe fringes that work so well with the hair-ups and party clothes we will all be wearing over the party season.
Film star glamour is a very strong theme for the coming winter with 40′s and 50′s hair styles appearing on catwalks and photo-shoots. The Chanel advert with Keira Knightley is just one example of how we will be seeing this look on billboards everywhere over the next few months.
Classically groomed men is definitely one of the more popular looks of the last year. Think Brad Pitt or Matt Damon – cut to perfection, but not too short – and always a super-clean shave.
Long hair – letting it all hang loose
More than just a barber shop

Too many men fall into the trap of a back street barber-shop look. We’ve all been there and said “just a short back ‘n’ sides please”.
But men’s hair styles have evolved massively over the last 10 years. How many of us would have thought about using moisturiser in the mid 90’s? Now you’re the odd one out if you don’t!
So it’s no surprise that mens hairstyles and cuts have come a long way too.
It’s out with a basic 1 all over and in with a high quality fade, all kinds of texture to add interest to your hair, and even straighteners for that long-haired rock band look, or to help achieve the classic quiff look that is so on trend at the minute.
Voodou for Him are experts in men’s hair cuts and styles from colour to hair art, so if you are into standing out from the crowd for all the right reasons, Voodou is the place for you!
And if you fancy really pampering yourself why not book a luxurious precision wet-shave, there really is nothing like it!

I just want a curly blow dry or something, nothing very fancy or complicated about 11 am if possible. Sorry I don’t know Liverpool all that well as I am from Ireland and when I googled ye came up.
Thanks a million,
Michelle..
