Which extensions fixing method is best for me?
The method we use to fix your extensions depends on many things which we will look at with you in your free consultation. Our trained stylists will look at the condition of your hair and scalp, talk to you about your work and leisure activities and decide what maintenance regime suits you and your lifestyle.
Once you understand how these issues can effect your hair we can explain how the different techniques can effect comfort, wear-ability, styling and maintenance.

Voodou provides a number of different fixing methods, which include:
- Sewn In
- Bonded
- Clip In
- Easilocks
Sewn In
Sewn in extensions use your real hair to braid and then secure the extensions to your head -giving a strong hold that lasts around six weeks. The whole process can take from one to three hours for a full head and together with your stylist you can choose the number of rows you want, depending on how thick you want the finished look to be.
Bonded
Bonds are a good method to choose if you are looking for partial extensions as they are individual. They could be used to create just a fringe (this can take up to an hour), or a half head of bonded extensions (around two hours) can be used to create a fuller, longer look to your own hair. A full head of individual bonded extensions can take up to three hours to fit and results will have a very natural feel which can last up to eight weeks.Â
Clip-In
Extensions can be a big change, and maybe you don’t want such a full look all of the time. Voodou provide a bespoke extension service where we will cut the extensions of your choice to the size you require, attach clips, and then blend the extensions into your hair – so that there is nothing else to do but to put them in and out at your own convenience.
Easilocks
With the Easilocks system there is no need for heat, glue, braiding or sewing, which is why it’s no wonder how popular they are with both clients and celebrities. Virtually undetectable, and comfortable to wear,  a small section of your own hair is crouched through the easilock and secured in place. The pre-bonded human hair extension strand is then placed inside the easilock with the already placed section of human hair. Then, using the easilocks applicator tool, the easilock is sealed and locked into place. A full head of hair takes around two hours to fix and results lasts up to nine weeks.

Hi Lizzy. It’s great your coming all the way over from Australia and coming to Voodou! A full weave is £160 for dark hair and £170 for light hair but the thickness and length of your hair may alter this price. Best thing to do is come in and see us and we can match your hair up for free and give you a price on the day x

Hi , I lost about 50% of my hair last year when i was quite ill. It has now stopped falling out and i have a lot of new growth. My hair is now very short and quite thin. I really miss my old hair , is there a type of extension that is less damaging ? I live in the Isle of Man , so it’s hard for me to come over for a consultation but would be willing to travel over for the treatment. There are not many salons offering hair extensions in the Isle of Man. Thanks
Hi Joanne, The type of hair extensions we do are braided then sewn in. The hair we use is Beauty works celebrity choice.
Any type of extensions on weak hair can cause more damage or even loss. We do have a brand new product to the market called Nioxin, which promotes hair growth and thickness. I would suggest you go down this route, Need any more information or to book in call us on 0844 445 7889
