Voodou Verdict: VMA awards hair styles

So over in the good old U S of A the MTV VMA awards have been happening. The biggest news (aside from the awards) was that Beyonce is preggers and Lady Gaga became a John Travolta-esque bloke for the night (more on that in an upcoming post about Androgene style 2011).

But what about the hair, we hear you cry?

The blooming Mama to be Beyonce looked immense in her flowing long one shoulder gown and the hair loose and long over one shoulder matched the dress perfectly.

Katy Perry showed off the first pic we’ve found of her Lavender dyed hair actually styled, rather than papped with it scraped back as she’s leaving the shops:

Nicky Minaj’s up do was multicoloured and mental! Kind of reminds me of intestines. Also not sure why she needs the mask. Halitosis problem perhaps?

Adele looked effortlessly glam with her bouffant and side curls – perfect for an American audience just getting acquainted with her.

Selina Gomez had this sophisticated but contemporary french twist going on:

Vanessa Hudgens has been critisced in the press this week for her growing Pixie Cut. Some reporters suggesting it looks scruffy and in need of cutting. She sure shut them up though with her lovely Charlston era twenties finger curls:
