Everyone at Voodou is so busy at the moment! We honestly have sooo much going on.
Not only are we getting ready for the return of Liverpool’s students – always a really busy time for us, but we are also preparing ourselves for the Vogue Ball on 6th Oct (my birthday, all prezzies greatly received).
This year we are supporting Darren Suarez, founder of the Vogue Ball by styling the hair for the opening dance piece! Even more excitingly Voodou will have their own dance piece in the ball which we are working hard to style and choreograph ourselves.
The theme of this year’s Vogue Ball is Twisted Fairytales, so obviously we can’t wait to get cracking and really get our teeth into it!
Another exciting event on the way for Voodou’s Art Team are the opening and closing shows for Liverpool Fashion Week (15th-20th October). For the opening show Voodou will be styling all of the hair for the models, and on the closing night Voodou are doing our very own hair show to be held at the Hilton Hotel! We are all very excited.
On top of all this we have two big photo shoots coming up; the first is us doing something slightly different in a poster campaign, so watch this space for updates!
If all of these things aren’t enough our stylists are also in the middle of getting our models ready for American Crew’s Face Off Competition which is held every year. Last year Amanda at Voodou 4 Him was shortlisted for the award which was brilliant so this year we are looking for a winner!! The competition is really great because it gets your work out which builds your profile and is a prestigious award within the industry.
Speaking of awards… Voodou’s main man Rob Webb has been shortlisted in this year’s Seen Awards for Inspirational Person of the Year!! We are all really proud of him for being nominated so please help him win by voting here!.
Finally I have to tell you the most exciting thing I am doing this week- a shoe making course! It’s a one day course where you get to design and make your perfect shoe from scratch, its only £80 for the full day, and I can’t tell you how much I want to do this!! I will include a photo of my shoes next time for you to see the end result.
