Voodou goes to the Vogue Ball!

Saturday 6th October was dress up time at Voodou! Everyone dressed up in a twisted fairy tale theme; I came as the wolf from Little Red Riding Hood.  For those of you that don’t know, it was the Vogue Ball, a fantastic dance event organised by Darren Suarez, and this year’s theme was Twisted Fairy Tales.

Voodou goes to the Vogue Ball!

Voodou did the hair for the opening dance piece where we had stunnings and dramatic creations for Snow White, Rapunzel, Red Riding Hood  and others fairytale characters, but with a Voodou twist. Can I just say our Art Team really pulled it out of the bag with this one and made me very proud to be involved.

The Vogue Ball was held at the Camp and Furnace which is a venue I have never been to before, but it is absolutely incredible, and I would recommend anyone to go along and see for themselves if they get the chance.

Seen Awards

This Friday, is the Seen Awards (hosted by Seen Magazine) and our very own Rob Webb, is up for Inspirational Person of the Year. It is such an honour to work for a man like Rob, he is always pushing everyone who works for him to be the best they can.

Rob started this company 35 years ago when he was just 18 years old, now that in itself is amazing but when you think of all the people he has employed over those years and the lives he has helped influence – it is just mind blowing.

The Famous Hair Dress takes pride of place at the Museum of Liverpool

Exciting news this week is that the new Museum of Liverpool has accepted our amazing hair dress into it’s care. The dress was made for Miss Alternative and ended up taking the title home! The dress will be on display in the main foyer from 26th October 2012. This is so great for us and an amazing place for the dress to end up as it was made by 2 great Liverpool companies – Liverpool is just where it should end up.
