What a weekend! The Celebrating Bold Street Festival in Liverpool was bursting with energy, colour, music, and community spirit – a proper celebration of one of the city’s most iconic streets. Organised by Liverpool BID, the event shone a spotlight on everything that makes Bold Street so special – from food and drink to culture, creativity, and of course, fabulous hair!
Festival Braids with a Voodou Twist
At Voodou Hair Salon Bold Street, we had an amazing time meeting so many of you and creating festival braids throughout the day. What Went On at Celebrating Bold Street
This year’s festival truly had something for everyone:
- Giant chess for all ages to enjoy.
- Face painting and glitter art to bring extra sparkle.
- Workshops to create your own tie-dye socks – fun and free for the whole family.
- Live music from Albert’s Schloss’s roaming brass band, finishing with a big performance outside the venue.
- Street performers including Zelva the giant tortoise and stilt walkers, who brought colour and excitement to the crowds.
- Local talent took over the Roscoe Place music stage and the One Under skate ramp, showcasing Liverpool’s creative community.
Along Bold Street, local businesses hosted special events too, including a jam session at Route One, workshops at Søstrene Grene, hand henna at Bundobust, and DJ sets at Resurrection. It was a brilliant showcase of everything Bold Street has to offer.
