I can't remember the lovely lady's name who did my hair, but she had an Irish accent. I'm very fussy about my hair and had two salons in mind in the same area. I chose Voodou because I'd had my hair done there years ago and was really happy with the results, so I was hoping it would still be as good as I remembered. I booked a higher-level stylist for a complete restyle and decided to put my full trust in her to do whatever she thought would suit me best. I honestly couldn't have been happier with the result. She was so friendly, professional and incredibly talented, and she made me feel completely at ease. I absolutely love my new hairstyle. Thank you so much – I'll definitely be back and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Voodou to anyone looking for a stylist they can truly trust.

I went in for a wash, cut, and blow-dry with Lisa, and the whole experience was fantastic from start to finish. I've never felt so at ease in a salon ever! As a creature of Habit I just had my hair shaved for years but after a breakup and wanting to glow up I sought the help of achieving a new style with Voodou Hair and every staff member from the front desk to the styling team have been absolutely brilliant. You're welcomed with a smile and offered refreshment then you receive a hair wash and mini head massage before you sit in the styling chair and your stylist will go through all available options to help you achieve the style and cut you desire. I've been and had my cut today to start my new style with Holly and she was fabulous her knowledge of hair care was second to none and she has assisted me to get the style I want and how to keep it looking perfect with after care tips and products. I look forward to returning in 6 weeks for my highlights and then being a regular customer of Voodou to help with the upkeep of my new hair doo. Frankie was amazing doing my hair, it was just what I asked for and was very stylish for me going to the euros with England representing my country. With me being blind, she was amazing at showing me what she was going to do and going through a step-by-step process of doing everything. She would talk me through what she was doing next and was really friendly and chatty. The whole salon made me feel welcome and was a great vibe even when speaking to the other salon workers. A reason why I am giving Frankie a five star review is due to her impeccable styling and the design of my hair but also for her fantastic customer service And I will definitely be going back in the future.

Had an appointment for a color, cut, and nourishing treatment with Frankie. I have especially thick and textured hair that is hard to manage. It’s easily the happiest I have ever been with my hair! Nobody has cut my hair the way I wanted before, and the color came out exactly as I wanted right on the first try. Frankie clearly knew exactly what she was doing and walked me through every step and made sure I was happy before moving on, she also ensured I was comfortable at all times. Had my first appointment with Frankie for a smoothing hair treatment and I’m genuinely so happy with the results. My hair was frizzy, dry and really hard to manage before, and now it feels so smooth, soft and healthy. The difference is honestly unbelievable. Came here after a lot of searching for the right place to have a hair system fitted since I've been dealing with alopecia for 15 years. From the initial phone call to get booked in for a consult to actually getting the system the experience has been great. Frankie fitted my system for me, we had a consult first where we color matched to my hair and she made sure to walk me through what the process would be and made sure I was comfortable before going ahead. Had it fitted today and what could be a daunting thing turned out not to be, all my questions were answered, nothing felt rushed, and every step was explained with the reason for doing it. I'm very happy with my result and would highly recommend this salon and Frankie for a system
Came here to get extensions fitted for the first time and I could not recommend more. The whole process was so easy I was able to order the hair through them after my consultation appointment and book in a few weeks later. Frankie was so amazing throughout both appointments, she was so helpful during the consultation to get me exactly what I wanted. My hair originally had years worth of black box dye and she was able to lift it to a gorgeous brown and I had 20 inches of weft extensions fitted. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome and my overall experience in the salon. Highly recommend ❤️

Voodou hairdresser is probably the best in town. I have curly hair and did my styling and trimming with Frankie. She put a lot of effort into the layers and was super focussed with the little details. Highly recommend this place and the styling products it offers.

Hayley is a fantastic....there's nothing she can't do. Everytime I visit I come to her with different ideas of blonde, she listens and does her magic.
Unfortunately, the usual colour of my balayage was not achieved. The initial result made my roots look yellow following which more toner was applied and now my hair doesn’t even look blonde. It’s so close to my natural colour that it doesn’t look like I have had a balayage. My usual hair stylist was off this week and I do regret not waiting for her to come back. It would be a good idea for the salon to document the type of toner previously used so it’s on record.
Brilliant, Hayley was so nice and accommodating, same with the blonde lady I didn’t get her name but they was all lovely!

Took my daughter 13 in for a wash, cut and blow dry today. She was a little nervous as she is head sore but Grace was very good with her and the cut and finish she gave her was so much like the photo we showed her. Very professional and would recommend her to anyone.

Exceptionally happy. As a neurodivergent person who struggles with haircuts, I felt extremely accommodated and understood. My hair was washed, cut, and styled by Grace, who did an incredible job. I was given a quiet space in the basement where I felt more comfortable and received great communication throughout the service. I’d definitely recommend this place, and Grace, to anyone who finds haircuts challenging or who may need somewhere quieter/more relaxed to get their hair done. 10/10!

Scott washed cut and styled my 11 year old daughter’s hair today. Not only did he help to cut the hair to donate to the little princess trust but he did a fantastic job giving her the wolf cut she wanted and made her feel at ease throughout. Made an appointment at Voodou after having a really bad experience in a different salon. My stylist was Ceyda who put me at ease straight away, she could see how upset I was after my bad experience and took so much time and care during the appointment showing me everything she was doing at each step to ensure I was happy and comfortable. The whole experience from start to finish was exceptional and I left the salon with my confidence back and a spring in my step. I’m so grateful to Ceyda for her care and attention and for listening to what I wanted and giving me what I needed. Went in for a consultation on the Friday and got an appointment to have my hair dyed and styled. The staff were friendly and so welcoming, I want to give a special thanks to Ceyda!! she absolutely nailed it and gave me exactly what I wanted. Even better than the reference picture I gave in. I can't recommend this salon and Ceyda enough! After I'd previously box dyed my own hair, I honestly didn't think I'd be able to get the exact colour I wanted, but Ceyda completely worked her magic. My hairdresser was polite, but I am disappointed with the result and won't be booking her again. She had another client waiting so was clearly rushing me. She only checked I was happy with my hair once she'd made it into a ridiculously curly blow dry, so I couldn't see how badly she'd done the layers. She didnt shape it properly around my face like I asked. The layers are far too blunt now that its straight, which is my natural style. Glad I used the 50% discount as it definitely wasn't an £80 haircut!

Im really really pleased with the results of my hair! Not only that but I just enjoyed the whole process from start to finish. Lucy took good care of me, and was great at accommodating me as a neurodivergent individual. She made me feel super comfortable and kept checking in with me to see if there was anything I needed, or if I needed to move to a private room downstairs, where it wouldn’t be so overwhelming for me. I didn’t expect my hair to look this good, as it was in a really bad condition when I got to the salon. It’s super blonde, healthy and the cut is perfect. I’m super happy

From the moment of entering I was looked after. Offered a drink and the team was lovely. Mark was running about 5/10 mins behind but I didn’t mind. For years I’ve been going to the Turkish barbers (who have mostly done a great job) but the barbers give me gay fear. Here I felt chilled and relaxed. Mark was personable and relatable. First time customer, walk-in, wonderful experience. The lovely Mark did a super job, listening to me and doing exactly what I needed. I explained that I needed a blow dry on Monday that would last for a meeting on Tuesday while looking naturally beautiful. For my teens first hair dye these guys were great. We've been visiting the salon for a while to get used to the environment and today they took the plunge and got their hair dyed. It took a while but we were well looked after during our visit. Jade offered some good advice in terms of how to care for the colour, she was happy to answer all my questions and was very patient! Joining the colour club gave us discount on haircare products and 50% off colour any day of the week. Really pleased with the service and the final product. Fantastic experience for my 16 yo daughters first hair dye. We were taken downstairs to a quieter area an were made to feel welcome and comfortable. We have joined the colour club which is a no brainer for repeat visits for the upkeep of the colour. Big thanks to all involved, I have a very happy teen! We will be visiting again 👍🏻🙂

The haircut is exactly what I asked for, I had Jade and she was so lovely and friendly, and always made sure I was comfortable and happy at every stage. Wouldn't change a single thing about my experience and definitely recommend!

Jade gently and expertly guided me through accepting my grey hair and going with a more natural grey / silver blend. I'm over the moon with my new colour, cut and appreciated all the advice and check ins throughout my appointment.
I came in for a Ladies haircut and blow dry/straightening. Jade was lovely, very considerate and friendly, especially checking in with temperatures and sensory things (would be very good for anyone with sensory sensitivities). She was also very patient with me asking what I wanted and making suggestions when I hesitated. Quality cut and wonderful service! Thank you Jade!

I really don't like going to any hairdressers, I always feel very self conscious and anxious but my experience at voodou was fab Chloe made me feel so calm and really listened to what I wanted and showed me how to use the spray wax to give more style.

Have been visiting Rene for a while now and can honestly say after years of straightening my hair, I have worn it naturally wavy every day since the first visit. She’s really knowledgeable about curly/ wavy hair and what colours suit best. And to top it off she’s a lovely lady so your appointments fly by.

It was my second time visiting the salon with the lovely Rene cutting my hair again. I have short hair and in the past I have had some shocking haircuts! Rene has been great at explaining how my hair grows and the best way to style it. I can honestly say that it is the best hair cut I have had and Rene is so lovely and makes me feel very comfortable. I visited the salon on Friday for a much needed restyle. My appointment with was with Rene and she was amazing. I explained what I wanted and she gave me great suggestions. I love my new hair and wouldn't hesitate to book with Rene again.
I went in for a big chop (long hair to a shaggy mullet type thing) and felt that Rene really knew what she was doing. I trusted that I was in good hands and was very pleased with the results. I think she understood my reference images very clearly. And she gave me good advice to look after my hair. I would come again and recommend to my friends.

Had a lovely visit to Bold street yesterday and attended to by the beautiful Rene who put right a poor cut from another salon. She was so attentive, listened to what I wanted and delivered what I wanted. A lovely atmosphere on the salon and seemed such a happy team even singing happy birthday with candle and cakes to a staff member. Been coming here for 15 years but left last year. Great hair salon! I went in for a peekaboo red, blonde, and black calico hair look, and Sarah did an amazing job. The colour turned out beautifully, and I was so happy with the result. The atmosphere was fantastic—everyone was so friendly and welcoming. I was kept informed throughout the entire appointment, with each step explained clearly. I'm extremely happy with the results and would highly recommend Voodou Hair to anyone!

Sarah did such a lovely job listening to my needs. I ended up with a super customised version of exactly what I wanted. She kept checking in for my opinion on smaller details of the cut which was incredibly thoughtful. When I thought it couldn't possibly get any better, I was then surprised and VERY pleased that she used the exact same technique my hairdresser from back home in Portugal used to always use for me. She also gave me some tips regarding the styling and care if I wanna recreate the finish myself, what a legend! So happy I found Sarah, I will return for her because now I trust someone enough to get a haircut more often instead of once a year back home. Every one else was very lovely too, the girl that did the blow drying was such a sweetheart and kept making sure she didn't tug me (my scalp is made of iron because my mom wasn't the most patient, but still important for anyone with some sensitivity). Great experience overall, will come back for a colour as soon as I know what I want to do.
