Never leave the salon disappointed It’s taken me years to find a salon and a stylist in the city that truly leaves me with an amazing cut. Sarah is absolutely lovely and never fails to style my hair beautifully. Sarah went the extra mile to pin my fresh blow out so it’s ready for an event the following day. A bit underwhelmed and disappointed i was really excited to get my hair done, i originally booked my color and cut with Gina but my appointment was rescheduled twice due to Gina being sick and then the second stylist was sick as well (understandable and not a problem) the stylist I had was very lovely and nice but I felt that maybe she was overwhelmed with my request and didn’t take the time to properly assess my hair before the color. I had a small section of faded black on the right side of my fringe and the underneath of my hair was a grown out faded black. I wanted these sections retouched with permanent black color. The rest of my hair was a scalp bleach and then tone. She originally said she would section the black away and do it at the same time as the bleach application but then said she would do it at the sink after rinsing the bleach as it would be easier. I did not see her section my hair because of it being done at the sink but since getting home and having a better look at my hair, I noticed there is a faded blue / black in my platinum blonde where there shouldn’t be and the section in my fringe is much bigger than i wanted and not what i originally had that I wanted retouched. There is a blue tinge in my blonde hair. The black is also not feathered, it is very solid and like a line in my hair. I’m very sad because the stylist was so nice, and my scalp bleach and tone came out beautifully. But it felt rushed and like not enough time was taken to understand. I don’t know how I will be able to remove the black from my blonde now and i’m concerned a permanent black color was not used and will fade into my white hair if it is a demiperminant color. Gorgeous This was my 3rd visit to Voodoo and I am so happy with my salon experience. Emily is a fantastic colourist and my hair is now in great condition. Before I was told that I was not holding onto my colour due to my age. Roots were showing after 3 weeks. Well now I go every 7 weeks and roots are only beginning to show. Incredible Calico Result Hayley was incredible! I booked a consultation first as I’d never bleached my hair before, and wanted advice on what would suit me and have time to speak through my jumbled ideas to form a plan. Hayley explained everything, boosted my confidence and I have come out with perfectly dyed calico hair and a styled hair cut that has made me more confident than I could imagine!
