As the A-List celebrity of the beauty world ghd is renowned for transforming hair with their range of ceramic hair straighteners. The brand which is over a decade old stormed the world of hair and have remained at the top of their game ever since. We love them! And are so happy to hear that they have launched their first ever professional hair dryer – Air.
ghd Air is being called the “supermodel among hairdryers” and has already made a huge impression at London Fashion Week 2012; where she assisted ghd’s Creative Director Kenna to style the models at David Koma, Basso & Brooke, Jean-Pierre Braganza, and Fyodor Golan.
The curved design with chrome highlights has an incredible salon-style power for the fastest blow-dry ever. The makers of the amazing new Air say it has been designed for stylists who need a hairdryer that delivers, so it’s packed with features that make blow-drying quicker and easier. Complete with an extra long power cable for flexibility, two sizes of concentrator nozzles, ionic technology for an effortlessly frizz-free and smoother finish, and variable heat and speed settings – plus a cold shot to make a salon-style blow-dry achievable every day! Sounds too good to be true? You haven’t even heard the best part… The ghd Air is available from us at £99!
The look designed here for the Jean-Pierre Braganza show at London Fashion Week was described as “rock and roll,” by stylist Kenna “combining rough texture with precise hairdressing techniques – including French pleats – these textured quiffs were given an additional edge with the application of a choppy, blunt fringe in a slightly mismatching shade”. To get maximum effect Kenna dried the hair used the new ghd Air to until it was about 80% dry, then finished off using a paddle brush to dry the hair straight. We love the look!
Another amazing creation by ghd’s Kenna was for the Fyodor Golan collection; his armour inspired collection was teamed with this strong hairstyle of fierce lines which mirrored the outfit perfectly.
