Voodou Has Twins!

We were delighted earlier this month to be crowned winners of a National Hairdressing Business Award for the second year in a row. The winners of Website/Innovation of the Year 2013,we were lucky enough to be praised by industry professionals for being continuous innovators in online marketing.

At a glamorous event held at the Lancaster London hotel, Voodou won the title of Website/Innovation of the Year – in a ceremony that ‘rewards and recognises individuals and salons that excel in the business of professional hairdressing’.

Voodou’s main man Rob Webb said, “To win a national business award two years running is a fantastic achievement for us and we are all so delighted. By continually searching for new innovative marketing strategies and embracing the world of social media, we have managed to appeal to a wider audience of potential clients. Voodou’s ethos is all about making people look and feel great and we see our website and social media channels as natural extensions of the in salon experience. They enable us to extend our stylists expertise to a wider audience and ensure that new and existing clients are kept up to date with latest trends, advice, new products and styling techniques, as well as inviting clients to share their own thoughts and views.”

Publishing director of Hairdressers Journal, and host for the awards Jayne Lewis-Orr said: “Tonight was about recognising those people whose commitment to the business side of hairdressing has helped not only their own salons prosper but raise standards across the whole industry.”

“It has never been more important to ensure best business practices are in place, and the level of skill and foresight demonstrated by winners and finalists in the British Hairdressing Business Awards assures us that hairdressing is in safe hands.”

Our website, Facebook, Twitter, and Last Minute Voodou system was entered into the national competition. When revealing the winner, the judges announced, “A diverse and inspirational selection of finalists made it a tough category for the judges, with one describing the winner as utterly brilliant.”

A massive thank you to all of the judges and to Hairdressers Journal for such an amazing night!
